This museum is located at the east end of Peace Boulevard Ave which runs from east to west in the central part of Hiroshima City. The museum stands on Hijiyama hill, the whole of which is a park with beautiful greenery. This museum stands in part of the park.
Please enjoy a walk around the park and a great view of the city from the top of the hill. We hope that you will be sure to drop into Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art and take time to see the very interesting exhibitions.
STREETCAR
From Hiroshima Station
Line 5, Get off at " Hijiyama-shita" Streetcar Stop.
BUS
From Hiroshima Station (From Stop #3 and #4)
Bus #26-1 for "Asahimachi", #5 for " Daigaku Byoin" or #31 for "Ken Byoin"
Get off at " Danbara-chuo". Turn right at the Danbara-chuo intersection. Take the Hijiyama Skywalk from SATY. The museum is 200 meter from the end of the Hijiyama Skywalk.
From Hatchobori (Chuo-dori, Tenmaya-mae)
Bus#12 for "Asahimachi" from "Hesaka". Get off at "Danbara-chuo".
Bus#23-1 for "Daigaku Byoin" from "Yokogawa Station" via "Kamiyacho (Prefecture Offices)". Get off at "Danbara-chuo". Take the Hijiyama Skywalk from SATY. The museum is 200 meter from the end of the Hijiyama Skywalk.
PARKING
120 Parking Spaces in Hijiyama-Park.
Parking is also available at SATY for up 2 hours (except their holidays).
Present your museum ticket at SATY 's service counter on the ground floor.
OPEN HOURS
10:00 - 17:00 (Please enter before 16:30)
CLOSED
Mondays except August 6th and national holidays. (When a national holiday or Aug. 6 is on a Monday, the museum is closed the next day after the national holiday.)
