“Open Call for Art Project Ideas 2011” is an open call exhibition applies the free public space of the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art. The Hiroshima MOCA anticipates applications from anyone who make site-specific art works to exhibit at various spaces in our free public space (Entrance Hall, Corridor, Foyer, Museum Studio, Stairwell, etc.). Any kind of artistic genre including painting, sculpture, video, installation and performance art are acceptable. Please submit your work plan written in the application form! Selected works are presented to the public from September 17th through to October 10th.

| Selection Process | Curators of the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art and special juries will select about 8 works to exhibit at the museum. Furthermore, among those works, winners for the special jury’s award will be chosen. (Selection result will be announced on the August 20th, 2011.)

| Awards |
Special jurys award for 3 persons/groups (Each 1 person/group for Yuutokutaishi Akiyama award, Makoto Tanijiri award, Midori Matsui award). For winners of special jurys award, extra prize are awarded from local supporting companies. In addition, all selected participants will receive 50,000yen. Audience Award for 1 person / group |
